During the 2017 holiday season, Lexum and its employees raised funds for a total of 2,693 meals to be provided to homeless peoples visiting the emergency shelter of Welcome Hall Mission, far exceeding the original objective of 1500 meals. Several employees also volunteered to serve meals at the shelter.
Welcome Hall Mission actively works at reducing the poverty, loneliness and despair which are unfortunately widespread in Montreal, even if not always visible to the naked eye. They support the disadvantaged with lodging, addiction treatment and social reintegration programs, food assistance, counseling services, and stimulating educational activities.
