Since 2011 Decisia is used by several administrative tribunals of the Canadian federal government as the platform of choice for the online publishing of their decisions. Among others, the Canada Agricultural Review Tribunal (CART), the Canada Industrial Relations Board (CIRB), and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal (CHRT) all have official decision websites powered by Decisia.
Over the last few months, the Administrative Tribunals Support Service of Canada (ATSSC) contracted with Lexum to expand its services to six additional tribunals:
- Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT)
- Competition Tribunal (CT)
- Public Servants Disclosure Protection Tribunal (PSDPT)
- Public Service Labour Relations and Employment Board (PSLREB)
- Specific Claims Tribunal Canada (SCT)
- Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada (TATC)
In some cases these projects involve the processing and publishing of historical archives of decisions that were previously either only partially available online, or not accessible at all to the general public and the legal profession. These databases will be gradually released online over the year to come. In this context Lexum is proud to significantly increase its impact on access to Canadian federal administrative decisions.
The ATSSC is responsible for providing support services and facilities to 11 federal administrative tribunals by way of a single, integrated organization. These services include the specialized services required by each tribunal (e.g. registry, research and analysis, legal and other mandate or case activities specific to each tribunal), as well as internal services (e.g. human resources, financial services, information management and technology, accommodations, security, planning and communications).
